Rest and Rejuvenation

On September 15, Jonathan and I celebrated our 1st anniversary. And it was Jonathan’s last Sunday at his first church.

The day came with mixed feelings: the strong sense of peace with the new journey God has presented us, and the sadness of leaving the familiar faces and places we had come to know. The morning was filled with emotion, tearful see-ya-later’s, and some of Jonathan’s team members shared why they thought he was great and would be missed.

I’m darn proud of my husband.

Conveniently, our anniversary gave us an excuse to postpone the start date for his new job, and we were able to take two weeks of rest. We  vacationed for 4 days, then stayed pretty busy visiting family and doing projects. But the time away from the “everyday” helped rejuvenate us to prepare for a new beginning. Time is such a precious thing and we valued this transition time.

It’s time for a new chapter to begin.
